You're out there, in your vette cruising, what's your go to song, your jam ? My favorite is the beach boys I get around, first ride I had in my dad's vette he played that song, it just stuck with me.

Spotify has a "Hits of 1972" playlist. Sometimes I will let that play as I'm tooling around in my "Way Back Machine". The feel, smell and sound of driving this car, with those tunes on the radio, really does bring me back to that time so many decades ago.

This 80’s girl loves her 80’s music!
That being said, I don’t listen to any music in my Corvette. I enjoy hearing the wind and the motor as I drive around and shift through the gears.
This may be an oddball choice, but for long drives (in my DD) I love Dire Strait’s “Telegraph Road.” I need to listen to it uninterrupted. It’s a very wistful song that starts slow and builds up faster, essentially about the rise and fall of a major city (probably Detroit). There are a couple of minutes of guitar after the singing has stopped, and the song doesn’t actually end; it just stops being recorded.
”Life was just a bet on a race between the lights,” and “I’ve run every red light on memory lane,” are some of my favorite lyrics.

I listen to a variety of 60/70s music. I tell everyone that it is a rule that you have to listen to oldies in a classic car.

I was cruisin' in my Stingray late one nite
when an XKE pulled up on the right.
He rolled down the window of his shiny new Jag
and challenged me then & there to a drag.

You can't just drive around for hours listening to one tune, and it depends on the drive. I have excellent playlists depending on mood.. This has been the most recent:
Leisurely/longer trips or just cruising:
Naked Eyes
The Mission (Wasteland)
Yes (90125 album)
Flock of Seagulls
Russ Ballard (Voices)
The Outfield
Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon)
Traffic
Zeppelin
The Who
Ten Years After
Isle of Wight '69 Festival
Meatloaf (Bat out of Hell)
Phil Collins (In the Air Tonight)
Spirited drives in the country:
The Wraith Soundtrack
Dio/Black Sabbath
Five Finger Death Punch
Godsmack (Serenity)
Korn
Limp Bizkit
Soundgarden

When I took delivery in early summer '76 Frampton Comes Alive was the album being aired on the radio.
Now anytime I'm in the Vette & a song off that album comes on.....it's like a trip back in time...

Listen to music??? Windows down. T-Tops off and I fire the Red beast up and hit the road. My music is the purr of that 350 with the 350/350 cam echoing out the Pypes 2 ½ exhaust. I guess I am not the only one who likes it because I get a ton of "Thumbs Up" heading down the highway!! I don't even know if my radio works!!!

Try watching a movie with no soundtrack.... it's a bizarre and generally unpleasant experience. Music is ingrained in our lives, and it helps make the world a better place, especially when cruising. A lot of our best memories come from places, smells, and yes, MUSIC.
