1977 blinkers flash different speeds
Hi all, I purchased a 1977 Corvette back in June of 2022. The problem I'm having is that whenever I put the turn signal on to turn left, it blinks very slow, sometimes it just stays on. The right side always blinks quickly, like if you had a trailer hooked up. I'm just curious if anyone has experienced this, I was looking for a direction to head in trying to diagnose this. I haven't checked the bulbs yet, I hear the blinker in the tunnel working, just at odd speeds. Any help would be appreciated. Repairing isn't the problem, I'd just like to not throw money at something without a direction. Thank you.

Look for a mix of bulb types first. LEDs cause issues with the stock blinker.
Or a ground or wiring issue, which is harder to chase down and solve. So start with a bulb inventory, and check the socket wires.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, make sure that all your bulbs are working. If some of the side marker bulbs are out, it might cause the blinking speed to vary. Good luck, Ike.

Look at the bulb sockets for digs of corrosion. Ensure that the bulbs are Inserted in the socket correctly, with old sockets it’s possible to insert the bulbs wrong, even with the tiny side posts on the metal barrel.
