How do you thank your wife for her work on your car?
Sorry for the whimsical post but just how do you thank someone that is willing to tape off the window so I can repaint the rear trim piece on 78 Corvette? I took out all the screws but must be stuck to the window ribbon. Tugged so hard thought it was going to break it pulling it out. Went to plan B. I'm 6'2" so not easy to crawl back there & tape it off. My wife is much more limber so she said yes. So...what would be a nice way to show my appreciation?
My back aches just looking at this pic.
Looks great after spraying it. was sun faded badly.

Well, when ever I ask the old lady to help I get told that's my job. I actually had the neighbour lady help me bleed brakes a few weeks ago.
So, I vote take her out to dinner. Some place nice.

Thank you for your vote. I'm leaning that way. Merry Christmas to you sir. If I was in your neck of the woods would buy you a Tiger beer.

Take her out for a nice steak and wine dinner or whatever. Just do something nice for her. My wife used to help out all the time. She was right in there with me when I needed to pull the engine and put it back in. She's a keeper!

I don't know about your lifestyle RickM but dinner out is a weekly event anyway and benefits both spouses, not just one.
Get her (and not you) a Gift Card. It's the perfect color, it's the perfect size & fit. It's the perfect taste for HER only.
You likely know what her taste are in stores. So, get a card from Kohls, TG Max, Barnes & Noble, Pennys, Home Goods, whatever SHE likes.
And I hope you never call any woman "old lady". Thats a degrading insult.

Gift card! That’s what I get people I don’t know super well. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a gift card for my husband (and we’ve been married over 30 years).
Pick up some flowers (even a bouquet at the grocery store) and do the dishes for a week. Even a $10 bouquet from Trader Joe’s brightens up my kitchen.

She preferred something personal like a facial or a massage.

Thats a awesom story Rick. To get her involved so easily, you likely know how to treat her like she wants. Figure out what its worth to you, THEN DOUBLE IT. I'm fortunate to have a wife that has always enjoyed being a part of my hobby. She let me get my '68 427 roadster Before we got engaged. 44yrs later, She let me know She now wanted her own Corvette. So, last month we flew out west, got her vette, and drove it home 2700mi.
You'll figure out what to do for your gal,,, and she'll love it.
Thanks for sharing your story.
My most awesome wife with her new 'Baby'❣

Interesting that you couldnt get it out. I dont remember mine being a problem. Did you remove the cargo shade? Maybe you missed a screw? I definitely had mine out for repainting.
