Replaced temp switch for fan on 81, still runs
After waiting to get a replacement switch for auxiliary fan on my 81, finally changed it. Pain in the butt to do with stock manifolds but got it done, unfortunately the fan still comes on at start up and runs all of the time. Any suggestions on what to check next? I also figured out why my AC was not working, had the fan unplugged as my car runs plenty cool...I connected the fan back, turned it to AC and presto , its nice and cold! LOL....Thanks for the insight

On a 79 the switch completes ground so check that wire to fan to see if grounded.
the fan does not run with ac just very high temperature unless you wire it that way here

mine was unplugged when i got it , i plugged it in and it ran non stop so i left it on at all times.
for whatever reason if started to work properly later on.
