Default 1972 Corvette 454

Need your help please. I installed new BFGoodrich tires,
my issue is trying to re-install the wheels trim rings.
The tabs are broken or distorted.

My question can I purchase new tabs and from whom? Or I have to purchase new or good used trim rings and also from whom?
Appreciate your help or suggestions

These are original trim rings for 1968-1972 Corvettes… Easy to tell by the fact that the clips are spot welded to the retaining ring and are spaced at 90 degree intervals starting at the valve stem opening (and the clips/ring have not been reoriented). Not easy to replace these.

What exactly is the issue? If it is difficult to get the trim ring on, try removing the wheel and letting some air out of the tire… Working on a flat surface with a side wall that has some “give” often helps.

I attempted to change one once and made a good ring with a broken tab into a dented ring with a good tab... I have a lot more tricks now but a lot less patience so it probably wouldn't be better today

You can give james a call at northern corvette (I think they're still a paid vendor on here) or check with caladon to see if they have any old ones
