Full interior restoration on 79 C3 L82
Took half my spring break but everything is fixed electrical and mechanical (except the damn speedo and dome light) and looking pretty good. I dyed pretty much everything with the Corvette America doeskin dye including the dash and all trim panels, little metal parts like steering wheel cap, steering wheel off eBay for 80 bucks, new seat covers and dyed seat frames, dyed seatbelts, brand new door panels (old ones were not salvageable lmao), used a chrome pen on all chrome trim, just got and put in a lot of little missing stuff like for example the rear cargo shade handle, and got some rlly dope carpets but I didn't realize the flags were for earlier c3s until I put em in but I don't really care they look awesome and in the future, I'll pick up the right ones plus I noticed that particular flag style is on the hubcaps so not totally incorrect I guess.
All in all, I say interior cost me around 800 bucks CAD to really bring back to life and the majority of that was 600-650 on door panels. However, that's also not including my new pioneer deck and auto sound audio system or any small cheap stuff that was technically not needed for an interior resto like center gauge cluster lens, shifter lens, horn relay, flasher, retainer clips, door lock pawl, blah blah.
I don't have many before pics (wish I did) but it was quite bad folks...both bad looking and terribly put together... huge gaps and falling apart pieces everywhere...I mean bubba actually attempted to superglue the door panels instead of putting the screws in and left dash secured only by the center console....
Happy with everything just waiting to put my headers on once I get some ramps but still a lot to do carpet needs to be replaced and the interior door handle bezels are cracked and so once I get the cash Ill get to that stuff. .
Not much unbubbaing left to do other than the questionable kill switch wiring and some really wacked out defroster wiring but I don't see it as a threat atm and have the battery secured so I'll get to that stuff later.

Absouletly my mother was very upset when I got the car...mainly cause its a gas guzzler but also cause the interior was in pretty bad shape. This is actually not the oyster color it happens to be the 78-79 “doeskin” color
