Finally finished cleaning and coating the bird cage and a pillars
My mom let me stay home thursday friday from school as I was feeling a little under the weather so I decided to tear more into the vette and see what I could do.... Keep in mind when I got my L82 79 vette for 5k I purchased it expecting a whole bunch of rust and rot all around specially in the bird cage. To my pleasant suprise it wasnt all that bad just some areas with surface rust no rot (usually where the carpet like insulation or whatever was) I wirebrushed and sanded up every part I could visible to the eye including the kickpanels and frame rails (floor pans where already perfect) and then coated. Took me a day and half cause I was being cautious and trying to get to baremetal and a nice paint finish but I think the time was well spent!
Btw I started a instagram account for my car and will follow everyone back so def check that out if u too have one for ur car or cars. @rebelnred
