Nice 69 Stang! I've owned 3 69s over the past few years. They're awesome cars!

I sold my 69 351w shaker hood, Candy Apple Red Mach1 last year. Had factory louvers and rear spoiler. I'm looking for another one now lol

That was a keeper :- )

I'm very happy getting my 69 Mach 1 about 1 year ago.
A friend asked me, if I would like to go with him, to look at the car, he was looking a 69 Mach 1
But that project was to big for him, so I bought it. (I was not looking for a new project car :- )

But the Mach 1 is a nice project car, it can be seen in my Youtube channel.

Great topic. Here is my 1969 L46. It is an original side exhaust car. 1 owner besides me. At this stage in the game I will keep the (what is left of) original paint, spruce up the interior, new exhaust covers, and make it safe. A rat-rod. Kinda matches my 60s longboard that will cruise with us out the back.

That is a cool car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you upload a picture of the rear lower valance?
My 69 Coupe was not a factory side pipe car, but I do have a set of factory 69 side pipes that will be installed in the car.

So right now (in fact yesterday, and today) I'm filling out the holes in my non side pipe rear valance.

Thanks,
John

That is perfect, thanks !!
I can see that I made it a bit different, I don't have a straight line, like you have.

If I have seen this a bit before, then I would have done like yours !

Thanks, and have a nice day,
John

I imagine most of the cars on this thread that look nasty were neglected by someone else to begin with.
But I also imagine that under our care they do get better on many levels over time.
And then the neglect can become patina

That's the case with my car. It wasn't intentional neglect, but it was owned by a woman from 1977 till 2008 when I bought it. She didn't personally do any maintenance or repairs herself. She had to trust whatever service station or garage available during that 31 years and hope they did the job right.

It's amazing some of the shady repairs I've found and corrected since I owned it. As it sits now, it's nasty looking on the outside, but mechanically sound.

Edit: Actually, looking at the above pic is a perfect example of one of the shady repairs. When the original breather pipe broke off the bottom of the air cleaner, one of the garages brazed a plug in that hole to seal it and cut a hole in the side of the air cleaner and installed a PCV filter. That's since been corrected too. This is an older pic. It also now has all the correct ignition shielding.
