ANY working, driving C3 without body damage is worth $10K minimum, IMO. I wouldn't care what color it was if I wanted one and found a working C3 available for that amount of money.

I hope so and I hope to find a buyer like you when I sell. If someone offered me (and paid me) 10 grand for my car I'd hand over the keys for sure.

Some of pricing is area dependent, but from the limited pics it looks like a presentable driver. Paint appears driver quality and if the interior and undercarriage is the same that's a $10K car easily in my book.

Yikes. There’s a lot of rubber bumper coupes out there for sale with sub-10k asking prices that would love to do business with you.

And make no mistake... EVERY single one ov those guys that say a 10K car is a 4K car, would be asking 10K for it if it were their's to sell. I hate that **** too. NEVER ask what something's worth here. Ever. Unless its one point away from NCRS gold, (or whatever), a factory big block 4-speed car, in a hot color, with documentation, and selling for 25% ov its value... its "junk". To many, if you cant buy it, and fully restore it and still profit 20K, its "junk". No wonder these cars have shot up in value... so many perfectly good cars have been junked.

I'm all for championing "junk" cars, and keeping things cheap... but man, you dont have to spend 10K to get into a good C3. If your ONLY stipulation is that its a C3... you can find gold for even 6-7000K. The more patient you are, the better you'll do. 10K could even buy you a semi-decent steel-bumper car if you're savvy. 74-79 cars, especially with automatics... dime a dozen. Even in bend-over Canada you can find good cars for under 10K, and EVERYTHING here is a 50-100% mark-up over the US price. Yep... 50-100%.

It actually looks pretty clean, in, out, under... from the pics, for the money. By clean i mean really decent. You dont get to nitpick for 10K unless you're buying a Pinto. I've seen people spend more for less, even in the States. Would I buy it for that? No. But i'm picky as ****, and i'm patient. The brown wouldn't bother me, as i'm just going to paint it anyways, but the automatic is a big turn-off. I'd say for the average C3 fan, in the States, thats easily worth somewhere in the middle, and if i guy came on here and said he paid 10 for that, i doubt too many people would chide him for it.

why is this not a 10k car?
Needs speedometer, tachometer, and has a rusted floor pans.
and i would consider running driving includes a speedometer and tachometer.. and if wanted AC parts in car not out on floor.. maybe sacrifice a few things.. but with automatic scale tilts to better condition as well..

My first car was brown, 1969 Buick GS, 400 Ram Air, 4-SP, Convertible, Buckets Seats and Power everything also had white interior. Dad bought this car for $300 with a rod knocking in 1973, we rebuilt the engine and I drove that car all the way through high school and sold it when I joined the Navy. Yea wish I still had that car.
Holy crap I found a picture I forgot about.

That is not me at all, seeing as how I have a 1975 l48 auto, which regularly tops the list of "Corvettes not to buy". Nothing elitist here.
I just see a huge disconnect between asking price and reality. Who knows? That car might sell for significantly less than asking price. Can't blame the guy for trying! I would like to know what that car and similar are going for in reality.

A couple of things:
First, Facebook marketplace is like the seeds and stems of selling anything......the **** I scroll through is downright amazing......not just overpriced junk, but people who can't write complete sentences in description, terrible descriptions.....bad photos.....and just about anything on FB Marketplace is way overpriced, to the point where you just wonder WTF are these people doing? Do they really want to sell anything? It is like some counterculture dreamland of idiots.......who only interact with each other. Not just cars, but just about anything......a cesspool of crap. I will occasionally find a nice Q-Jet or intake on there......for a bargain, and it is amazing it is there....the only reason why it could be is that nobody knows it's value.....99% of FB Market surfers have zero knowledge of cars and parts......it is not an informed realm of buyers or sellers.....
Now this ad isn't much better...but it is better than 90% of the FBM ads out there.......it has a reasonable description, but screws the pooch with rusty floorpans for 10k.....no engine pics and one undercarriage shot......
$5000-6000 car at the very most.......all Brown aside. Some really dig the brown......I don't but that's me. Knowing that.....less popular colors do not really kill a cars value but make it harder to sell....somebody has to want a unique color......
There are two distinct sets of Vette people too......the "enthusiasts" who do not know the value of a Vette really and do not follow the market. They generally do not work on their stuff and are much more vulnerable to being scammed into a piece of crap. The other is a person like myself that has followed these cars and the market for them most of my whole life. I would scroll right past this brown shart...umm shark and not consider it a bit....because I know what these cars a really worth.
The Rubber bumper and Chrome bumper argument is as old as a 74' Vette. There are reasons the market is lower on a rubber car and it really comes down to desirability and demand.......I personally think the chrome cars are better looking and are the last of the "Golden Musclecar Era".......BUT! I dig rubber cars too because there is simply no better deal on the market to build a Hot Rod from......and bargains can be found if you look. You can make a tight looking fast SOB of a car out of a rubber shark.....I still want to build a 77' with a 540 and big black Hooker sidepipes in blue......
Everyone is going to defend their own year of shark.....human nature......they all have a place to me (Well except an 81' LOL...JK)......
I hope the guy gets 10k too.....but he isn't.....almost guarantee it.......but I am not going to defend him or the car as he is dreaming and the ad sucks. It is just not that nice of a car.
Finally.....as a "Chrome Bumper Elitist" I will continue to call it as I see it and others will continue to discredit me because I think my car is so much better and they think theirs is worth so much more.......
And to those who say "It is worth what someone will pay for it!" Please jump off a cliff somewhere......
Cheers!
