Paint Touch Up
Have a few fairly minor touch ups to do on my 1971 Stingray.
Any suggestions as to where I can get a quality touch up kit?
Color is Mille Miglia Red. The car was repainted about 15 yrs. ago and is in very good condition.
Thanks.

I'm only familiar with generic touch-up kits.
Do your first touch-up on a spot that isn't easily seen....practice...practice...
Try viewing the CF Paint/Body Forum for good info.

Haven't use their products but take a look at Dr. Color Chip (https://drcolorchip.com/). They have different kits depending on need. They have all the color codes including Mille Miglia Red 76/973/WA4147 (1971).

The main trouble with buying a specific color is that you have to be positive that your car paint is the original color, or when it was repainted, they used the exact Chevy Color. If you can’t be positive, take the car to a Sherwin Williams Automotive Paint Store. They can use a camera to get the exact paint formula to match your paint. I first to a auto paint store and they wanted $130, the I went to SW and it was about $30.

If you had the car re-painted, your best bet would be to contact the paint shop and see if they still have records of the formula for your paint. With that formula, you can have any good paint store mix up small batch that will match well. It won't be cheap....but do you want 'cheap' for your car?
Otherwise, use touch-up companies mentioned here or PaintScratch.com. I've had good success with them.

How much do you need?
Do you need a spray? https://www.ebay.com/itm/293988974866
Or a true touch up kit? https://www.ebay.com/itm/123594766572 (I used these guys for touch up paint on my ‘69 that was painted a 2005 Corvette color and it was a perfect match.
