Anyone here installed one?
I'm looking for your feedback on fit.

I installed 3/4” Addco rear sway bar on my 74 two years ago, fit well, I adapted the horizontal bar ends to the factory trailing arm mounts with heim joints as others here have done.

I installed a 3/4” Addco on my ‘69 using the stock mount. Fit perfectly and seems to work well.

Kid Vette, Not sure which bar Greg is asking about. I have not seen the option you listed but at half the price I would have still opted for the bar with horizontal ends and utilized heim joints to link the factory trailing arm mounts.

Thanks for the response KV,
Not that one. Addco offers two different styles of rear sway bar, I am interested in this bar, the 7/8" part # 907. It looks more like a front sway bar with the end eyes on the horizontal rather than the vertical and front bar style link kits, with adapters to fit the trailing arms.
Cheers, Greg

Hey thanks Kev.
Can you tell me what year your car is, and do you have the factory tapped frame mounting holes?
I'll appreciate your feedback.

Thanks Kev.
When you get in there this weekend, can you let me know if your car has the factory sway bar mounting holes in the frame with the capture nuts, or if you need to drill new holes and use the supplied U bolts.

Default Sway bar

I just installed one on my 70, right now it’s sitting to high as it needs to settle making the bar sit at a pretty awkward angle. I do think once it settles all will be fine. My car did have the holes tapped in the frame, they were covered and not visible but I poked around where they should be and found them.

A rear sway bar should not cause any change in height of the rear. It should not put any force into the rear suspension, until one rear wheel wants to run 'higher' or 'lower' than the other one. Then it should only transfer weight to the off-loaded side.

Hmmm?
That's very strange Kev.
Did you get your bar through Top Flight? Here is the parts list that comes with the kit. So you're missing the RH 609 or RH 610 adapter plates?
Call Top Flight and ask them to send you the missing parts, or you can go directly to ADDCO at 855 522-5378 and get them there. Probably easier than fabbing your own plates.
Cheers, Greg

Sorry, didn't realize you were so far away.
Yes, my car has the threaded frame holes but the brackets included do not fit the factory holes. I've been back and forth with a good guy in ADDCO's tech dept. Finally decided it was just a poorly designed bracket. A little fab work and now it fits fine.
