Default Stingray Emblem on non Stingray Vettes?

Has anyone with a 68 or a 77-82 Vette placed "Stingray" emblems on their car? If so, pic it up!

BUT...the brochure said it's a 1968 Sting Ray.
I bought my emblems from a Forum Member. They are on the wall in the garage waiting patiently for me to refinish the front section of my `68 convertible.

The concept art for the Jimmie Johnson 1971 LT1 car has the C7's stingray emblems on them. Right on the Chevrolet website:

https://www.chevrolet.com/performanc...n-corvette-lt1

The actual car has the "Stingray" script, blacked out.

Bizarre stuff! And how about that 4 Wheel Drive stance in the 1968 Ads

I say label it and put whatever you want on it. I had a guy with a mid seventies car come overr to mine at a car show and start ripping on everything that I changed. I just told him to show me his car. He walked away telling his buddy what trash my car was. I ran across his later on while looking at the rest of the show and it needed to be washed waxed and needed a lot of help to just make it look nice. I didnt even bother to stop.

Its your car and do what you want. I want to see one with an old Hemi in it myself, just to see how it would fit

Lots of people put '68 tail lights on their '69+ cars, as well as other things...it's your car, do as you wish.

Okay. This is Kolsen911’s car. It’s a C2, but close enough.

I have mixed feelings, the Stingray doesn’t bother me like someone installing L88 , LT1 or L82 badges on a non car , I probably wouldn’t but like I said the Stingray doesn’t bother me like engine badges

its kinda like dating a hot babe for a couple months to find out it was all stuffing in that bra with no beef

Now I'm really confused (not about the bra...Vettes do not need bras).

"Confused Minds Want To Know"

I was wondering what those EBay hood numerals looked like in real life....not bad!
