Stingray Emblem on non Stingray Vettes?

None of them show the puke on the fender for trying to make it into something IT'S NOT! A LIE perpetuated is still a LIE.
Stingrays (one word) were made from 1969 to 1976......END OF STORY!
I'm sure the Cobra Guys love Mustang owners calling their cars 'Cobras' just as much!

I find it Ironic that your calling someone who puts different emblems on a car to imply its something else a "poser" but in this case thats EXACTLY what the GM marketing team did, right?

which was exactly my point in post 95. i originally did that parts for sale listing in response to somebody who got all bent out of shape because "IT ISN'T A STINGRAY!!!" when the only diff was 3 holes drilled in each fender... you put an SS396 hood and emblems on a Malibu? yeah, that is being a poser.

But the late models look like sting rays. Mid years look like hammerheads.

The guy in charge of the release the c7 stated in an interview I seen recently that the c7 are different than them all because its "StingRay" with a capital "S" and "R" but all one word... lol .. I cant believe I even repeated that marketing nonsense.. kind of reminds me of an old thread on the jeep fourm where people were arguing of the "Trail Rated" emblems they started putting on all the jeeps meaning they were more capable than the same generation jeeps without the emblems

Wow no offense to anyone but I can’t believe this topics keeps coming up over and over again.
Unless you are looking to get judged, it’s your Vette do what ever the h…l you want.
If anyone has a problem with what you did to your car the h..l with them too.

nah. stick the chrome OEM one on there. ya know what elc=se i would like to do? these on the hood. https://www.classicindustries.com/pr...saAn4SEALw_wcB it already has hidden headlights. so i guess that would make it an SS RS Corvette.

These arrived, a bit crushed from shipping. The paint is underwhelming. The counterfeit 3M tape on the back is not really thick enough to stick to both the inside of the hollow emblem, and the car, at the same time.
It's about what I expected, though. I'll wait until I have another batch of G2 epoxy mixed up to repaint them. Hopefully this thread will still be open when I get them on the car.
