Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to this forum. I joined because I picked up a C3 that I call Mary Belle. I’ve had a little trouble getting the Ontario Orange correct but there’s something that bothers me way more than that. I live in the San Diego area and we’ve had rain for the entire last week. So yesterday it was absolutely beautiful, perfect day for a drive so I hit the road. Didn’t see a single C3 on my trip and then it occurred to me that I can’t recall EVER seeing a C3 actually being driven in the last 15 years. I’m gonna be selling Mary Belle when she’s ready and for me that means driving her to make sure that she’s Reliable. I guess everyone has no interest in enjoying a really fun car to drive. I don’t get it???
I did some calculations based on C3 production and registered cars in the USA and even if every C3 ever made was regularly on the road there would only be a 1 in 400 or so chance of seeing one. While there is no estimate of C3s presently on the road by the time we subtract totaled/parted, on proverbial jack stands, or sitting in barns/sheds/garages I suspect 1 in 1,500 is a HIGH estimate of your chances of seeing a C3 on the road.

You probably didn't notice them until you bought one!

You should have been at the beach this afternoon, there were 8 C3 - 5 with chrome … and 2 C8's

I have a boatload of weatherstripping I'm getting ready to put on 79. I am first looking for a real good how-to video. Everything I look at just wants to show how to put on the t-top weatherstrip.

Hotter than blazes today
Hey guys. Just spent the entire day in 90+ heat prepping the rear of Mary Belle for the final coat of clear. Two weeks ago it was cold(for us😁 and rainy every fricken day. Now we’re living in the desert 🐪
I do know that I will be able to see some C1-C3s at a car show but that’s to be expected so for me that doesn’t really count. Life is short so drive those bitches 🏎

Never see vettes or musclecars period, guess guys are afraid to drive them. nothing cooler than being the oddball on the road.
Think the crowd is getting old and paranoid of driving. Thats what insurance is for?

Live in the East Bay area of CA, in San Ramon, and haven't seen a C3 around these parts in many years. Even the Good Guys show, here in Pleasanton, CA, may have only one or two C3s for the >3000 cars they have at the event.
When I get my 71 on the road in Nov or so, after a two year resto-mod project, it will be a rare species indeed.
BTW.. great looking car. Didn't think I was a fan of that color until now.

I drive my 73 a few times a week year round just because the weather here in NorCal allows for it. After living 62 years in Michigan with its 6mo driving season for classic cars, I’m now living the dream.

I lived in San Ramon for 12 years, up until 2015 (Twin Creeks neighborhood) and drove my 68 quite often, and while I saw a number of later year Vettes, I seldom saw another C3. I usually cruised the backroads....when you get your 71 going check out Palomares Rd between Sunol and Fremont through Castro Valley, then Crow Canyon Rd to Norris Canyon Rd and back to town, very nice drive but be careful in the evenings and watch for deer
Currently live in Patterson, and the only other C3 I saw here was a Steel Cities Gray C3, I just happened to be driving the 68 and passed him going in the other direction....probably the only two C3's in town....

I’ve seen a half dozen or so around Vacaville. Corvette Express is a local Vette only shop here in town and they host an annual show at their shop. Check their calendar of events.
