Wide tire C3s the picture thread...
I would like to build a pro touring style 68-72 vert. (but love all C3's)
So besides getting ideas, it should be a fantastic show!
Post up wide tire C3 pics. If it is/was yours, tell us a bit about it.
This is close to what I want to do.

@AllVettes4Me's 72 road racing replica is probably the best documented widebody that you will find on this Forum, though it has since been sold:

I also understand that some people think that is really important.
Meh.
I am literally a person that has an interest in something corvette related. This seemed like a great place for that.
It isnt my first day on the interenet, so I understand some people make it about things other than the playground.
Meh.
I would still love to see pics of wide tire C3s. Ill bet some people would love to engage in that. And others would like to make it about my choice of shoes or something.

2022 C3 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Yes, I have never understood the criticism for opening an old thread. If it's an issue, the moderators should lock any thread that is over a certain pre-determined years old! I have been nailed a few times because it has the issue of putting "related topics" at the bottom of a newer thread and I don't notice that it is considered an "old" thread. Just lock them up if it over a year or two old and cure the problem. Or just understand that sh*t happens IMO!

Good Morning,
I like fender flares too, like in your example photo, but this is as wide as I can go on my '69 without risking contact with the wheel wells or the fiberglass body on this car.
Tires are Dunlop GT Qualifier P255/60 R15 and very old. They are on the list of things to replace once I get to that. I do like how this size tire fills the wheel well area and this car has a nice stance with this size tire. Wheels are steel rims with trim rings and stock hubcaps. I was going for more of the stock look with this car.

Thank you for that information. Just did the edit. Learn something new everyday. Guessing like some others here, I've gotten caught a time or two responding to an old related post but have learned over the years to look at dates a little closer. Thanks, this edit will help.
Meh - Wanted to let you know too that I am running Nexen N3000 235/45 ZR17's on a C2 and like the C3 the tires fill the wheel well about as far as I can go without making contact with the body. Best of luck in your wide tire search. There are a lot of tire / wheel options out there.

Let’s keep in mind a lot of the photo threads floating around this, and other, forums are full of useless photobucket links...
An updated thread that doesn’t require scrolling through pages upon pages of blurred photos and broken links isn’t the worst thing in the world.

It is true, if someone re-opens a thread from a year ago all you read is, 'this thread is a year old!!! blah blah blah'.
Anyway, here are mine 265/50 on the rear (before I just changed them out for redlines- that was a fiasco).
