Default Value of an 82

So some may know that my 82 was hit while at a stop sign. I suffered significant injury to my hand and will be pursuing loss of wages and pain and suffering damages. But, question is, what would the "totaled" value of an 82 be. Pic of damage below.

The value is what you and your insurance company have in the policy. Sadly it's between $8k and $15k.

This is why I went with an agreed value policy on all my vehicles. To me repairing the car will cost 25 to 30k. If you are outside NY or another big city it may cost 15 to 25k to repair.

If you really like the car and want to keep it - see what they will give you and what they want to buy it back.

Well, I paid $13K for it 22 years ago and have driven the tires off it, so to speak. A $10K value would be OK.

If that is all you want, should be ok with the insurance settlement. You may have to sue the other driver if the insurance company is lowballing you.

You asked for information. Don't give any out. What you paid has no relevance . See what the insurance offers, you don't have to take it unless you have a agreed value policy. I'm sure your insurance will low ball , but you should gather and have ready pictures / prices of other cars of the same condition . There is a lot of people out there that they think their corvette is the ultimate car and they price it that way. Good Luck.

Probably not necessary. The insurance adjuster is going to total this one.
