If you are mounting on stock 8" wheels, yes they fit.

Yes stock wheels.
Will there be any rubbing. I wanted a wider meatier look without rubbing that’s why I thought different size in front.
Would like all the same but not sure

I ran those sizes on my 77 and my 69 . The 69 arrived with 255,s on the front which rubbed , so I changed to 245 and they cleared ok.

I'm running 245's on all four corners on my 70. No rubbing at all.

Use the 255s all around, so you can rotate your tires, every once in a while. Worst case, the leading edge of the front fenders need to be "clearance" a bit, to eliminate the rub. The '78-'82s came from the factory with this "trimming" already done.

Maybe.... For '68-72 cars, 235R60-15's will fit on the front for ALL cars. 245's will fit on about 1/2 of those cars; some of them will accept 255's -- but maybe on only one side! Later years accepted wider tires and the front wheel openings were cut differently so there was no rubbing. (rocker panels were shorter, too).

Why do you need super-wide tires on the front?

245s rubbed on the front on my 68, just barely, but they did. I ended up with 235/60R15s on all 4 corners. Just another data point.
