Out with the old

In with the new:

I sold my '76 last year and have been semi looking around for something when I found the '79. I couldn't help myself so it came home with me! It has the original engine, etc. The frame and birdcage appear to be excellent, the doors are tight and solid. It's had a bunch of work done to it and a big stack of receipts. It appears to have been well maintained and just turned 53,000 miles when I bought it. So far I've put about 300 miles on it and it seems to run great.

There are a few warts though, some I knew and one or two I missed. Overall, nothing too big and well, it is 40 years old! I'll start tinkering on it in the next month or so, so I'm sure I'll have some questions. Right now I just want to drive it a bit before the weather turns. Winter is just around the corner.

Sure....it all starts innocent enough.

Love it! I also have a 79. What color? Dark green or blue?

Greg, that's funny but more true than we care too admit! The car is dark green with green leather interior. It has a Holley carb, polished intake and cheap chrome valve covers and air cleaner. I have the original parts for it. I'll take some pics inside and under the hood.

Thanks for all the compliments!

Welcome to the 79 club! I'm a big fan, and maybe a little biased. Definitely throw up some more pics. Yours looks like a really clean and very nice example.
