Front Rotors...
I am trying to replace my front rotors with drilled/slotted rotors. I have the caliper/bracket off and have drilled out the 5 rivets. I still cannot budge the rotor!! Could it be stuck on the center hub, there does seem to be rust around the hob/rotor. I have had it soaking in WD-40 for about an hour, but cannot move the rotor at all. I drilled out the heads of the rivets and then used a 1/2" bit to drill deeper and remove more of the rivet area. TIA

have you used a hammer to break off the rusted on rotor?

Very often rotors rust onto the hubs. You may need some 'persuasion' with a hammer to loosen them. I generally use a heavy rubber mallet but if you are tossing the rotors, some love taps with metal will likely free them up quickly.

Thanks guys, got tired and gave up for today. Since I turned 74 I do not have the patience or energy I used to have, will try the hammer tomorrow. Have a great weekend.

There is a large puller that works if you need to remove the rotor without damage, but since you are going to replace them, get a big hammer and whack the crap out of it. I had to use persuasion to get mine off when I put the drilled rotors on my 68 convert.

Another vote for the BFH....after spraying PB2 in and around from the sides.
Not sure if I did that with last ones I tore down or used my press. Yeah, I am old too.....
But spraying Power Blaster the day before and letting it soak eliminates much frustration the next day.
Good luck!
