Where did the 50 years go? Incredible how the Motion "hot rods" went from beat on "street racers" to highly desirable, valuable, collectibles.

Brings back a lot of memories of growing up on Long Island and visiting Joel with my 65 fuelie. A great time for me that I will never forget and man everytime I got my car back from him it would really crank at the track for sure.................................... ........................................ .....................

That IS a great write-up. Thanks for sharing it.
We used to drive around burning gas and taking pictures of any hot rods we saw along the way.
Motion being the topic, here's one I took a loooong time ago- probably '68 / '69.

Personally I liked the Mark III SS427 model the best. A little more understated than the later models.
An interesting side note. In the following picture, you can see how Motion hacked the tri-power accelerator cable bracket after they swapped out the stock L-71 tri-power for a Holley and Edelbrock.
I have a buddy that has a '68 that was originally an L-71 that a PO swapped in a small block. You can see the remains of the tri-power bracket that they used in a similar fashion.
