I'm in, love it when someone finds one of these and can pull it out from under the tarps, out of the woods, out of a barn, wherever it has been resting. Good luck with your decision, looks like a fun project car to me.

OP's last post made it sound like he hasn't made up his mind yet. Sounds like he has a few guys that would be happy to help him drag it out and on to their trailer instead of his...

i know what you mean cooter! that stink is overwhelming at times.. when i bought my 68 it had been in storage for over 30yrs..... when i pulled the seats out i had a half dozen dead mice at least! and enough chewed up cloth and carpet too fill a garbage bag. i let it set out side for over a month with the top off because i was afraid too put it in the shop. between the stink, and possible mice still living in it i did not want a infestation in my shop! this one will be no different, clean it up power wash it and let it set for a while out side in the sun! i will be posting pictures when its on the trailer!

In fact, tops off and windows down on the trailer. Maybe even pull the seats so interior can get a little 60 mph wind thru there.

Congrats in advance. Know my Father's rule, "There never was, and never will be, a constipated mouse."
Mousie calling cards... The little rascals also chewed the heater fan.
Good luck! It's going to be a blast!

Well I bought it ! Hopefully coming home tue or wed. I will up date everyone on things. I plan on pulling the tank right away. The inside of the tank is spotless and I could not believe that.
this is of the inside of the tank. It’s so shiny it is awesome
This last picture is of the TI BOX!!! And the yellow stuff on the hood is pollen! It sucks!

GOOD EYE! you are correct it was red....from what the story goes, the original buyer did not like red and wanted ontario orange. he could not get what he wanted at the time of the sale? so the dealership painted it right then?! now this is coming second hand from the friend that is in charge of the estate.. this was told too him by the deceased original owner, and confirmed by the best friend of the original owner who was with him when he bought the car new..also the BF has pictures showing the car right after painting...i have not talked too the BF but i have his number now and plan on calling him today..thanks troy

i just got off the phone with PO best friend, the story was correct. the PO ordered the car red because his girl at the time that worked at the dealership liked the red.. well girl friend is gone when the car showed up and he did not want it red. so he told the dealership he was not going too take it unless they painted it ontario orange, they complied! he has a few pictures of the PO with the 71 along side his 67 coupe back in 71.. the 200s wheels were put on in 71 and the factory rallys were sold! bummer! he is going to make copies of all pictures and any paper work that he has and send it too me..

Congrats the story gets even better... Millie Miglia red is a good color and especially on a roadster...
I mean how many Millie Miglia 71 LT1 roadsters are known to exist?
Can't be more than a handful - in one of the more desirable colors.

Most chevrolet dealerships could not get more than a few Corvettes at most, some only got one.
IF they could not dealer trade for an Orange roadster I am sure they would paint the one they had...
I was really wondering about the stripe.
Red with a white LT1 stripe... sweet!
