Interior Courtesy light question
I have a 75 C-3 - and I do not have the dome light set up, It has a light in the very back panel under the window. Of course the light housing is missing, but the light socket is there. Question - all I can find for my year is the dome light housing - Would this work for my application?
Thanks, Mike

My 71 and 76 have the rectangular courtesy light on the back panel (also called the vertical floor). They use different bulbs but look similar
If you have the socket check to see if it is still hot when you open the door. If so the rest is fairly easy.
Virtually all the Vendors carry the parts. Depending on what is there you may need the chrome housing, lens and bulb or just the lens and bulb.
When I bought my 71 the PO was lazy and removed the housing and lens and installed the new carpet over where it had been. Fortunately he just stuck the wire and socket back.
If you don't have power at the socket when either door is opened you have to start back tracking. Check the door switch next, that is what usually goes bad.

Thanks for the reply - Light works, as of now just a rectangle hole in the vertical panel with the wires and the socket. So do you think the rectangle dome light kit will work?

You need this housing: https://willcoxcorvette.com/corvette...s-socket-74-82
and this lens: https://willcoxcorvette.com/corvette...ght-lens-74-82
If the wires are still there and still have the clips on them the clips slip into the plastic part, then you screw it down to the car. The snap the lens on top of it.
