The art of broken T-tops
The former owner of my 1980 broke the passenger side T-top while trying to remove the old weatherstripping. He put both original T-tops along with the purchased weatherstripping in the box that the replacements came in. I know that unbroken these T-tops are nearly worth more than the car. Apparently nobody wants a single because of the possible mismatch of color. I just can't bring myself to just get rid of them so I'm thinking about turning them into T-top art.
Here are the originals. I highlighted the cracks with a sharpy so they would show better in the picture.
Here is option #1 Red, Mirrored and Blue
Option #2 Because I'm a Gator
Option #3 Crossed Flags Version 1
Option #4 Crossed Flags Version 2
Option #5 Military Tribute (I loved the Army, I made PFC three times)
Option #6 Aaaargh! (I think this is my favorite) the passenger would be looking up through the skull.
I am a while off from painting them. First I'm going to use them to practice removing and adding weatherstripping.

Melting Slicks
Dont paint them. get the graphics cut out of vinyl decal wrap. you can even use a chrome/blackchrome to ghost in the logos. plus the vinyl will help stick the glass together and not keep breaking.

Doesn’t places like Melrose T Tops buy cracked tops and refurbish them?
I find it hard to believe that a cracked top or a single top has no value at all.
