Cool car! Have you got a close up of your upper links on the rear? Adding some upper links and converting to telescopic half shafts as you have is on my list to do at some point.

I am replacing all the heavy bolts with race bolts and titanium washers to capture the heim joints and safety wiring everything... ill snap some pics... I have two upper link inner locations... one for drag racing and general street driving and another set that moves the instantaneous center to infinity for roadracing

im also gonna drill some holes in my trailing arms to lighten them up a bit

radius tooth cog... they roll like a tire rather than slide like a gilmer... I got the basics from JRP but they didnt have anything for the Gen 6 BBC at the time I built and it is subtly different from a MK IV so I had to make a few mods but it has been working fine for over 11,000 miles. A bit of tig welding on the brackets and a few other custom tidbits.

also went through 3 delco SI alternators before I switched to the Denso racing piece with ceramic bearings and we adjusted the cog ratios slightly to match the output curve to the nominal engine rpm.

oh I also made all my Power steering hoses at a local shop to fit the Rack and pinion, Hydraboost and PS pump location

Thanks for the pictures, nice work on the mounts, look very solid. Trying to make out what you were doing at the front of the trailing arm, did you replace the bushing with a spherical joint?

yep sorry the pics got out of order... replaced the rubber bushing with a spherical joint and then rifle drilled a set of trailing arm bolts and installed zerk fittings in the head so once a year I give them a shot of grease and thery should last forever.

Did you do this modification before the johnnie joint version came on the market (like Van Steel's version) or did you use your skills to create it using your own TAs?
And did you do your own rear alignment or take that to a shop? I have Van Steel's version and was wondering how difficult getting that part (shimming the TA front bearing joint) was to do. Txs

Really nice work, either way......
