Default '73 / '74 Front bumper extension question

I'm a little confused (nothing new) I thought the 73 and 74 front bumper and bumper bar /extension were exactly the same but.. I only have my AIM from the '73 on hand and can't find anything on line. The 74 extension that was on my car has two long thin bars that extend out to each side and my 73 one does not even have the holes for them. Where do these two bars attach to? The entire assembly from the 73 is in much better condition so I plan on using it. See pictures for explanation...

Thanks

Hi Klutz,
According to the 73-74 NCRS Judging Manual," the 73-74 front bumper system is the same with the exception of the addition of two bracket bars and side braces for 74. The bracket bars extend from the central slider brackets to the side bar braces. I included a photo of the 74 system since you already have your 73 AIM. I believe the braces you are asking about are shown as item # 12. It shows where everything should be attached.
Hope this helps
Regards,
Tooch
