The th400 has a 31 spline yoke with a 1330 ujoint. The Muncie has a 27 spline yoke with a 1310 ujoint. You will need the 27 spline yoke and a 1310 X 1330 ujoint. The drive shaft will work with no mods. I just did this swap in a 75, so I have a little experience.

Don't weld that bracket into place. If I remember correctly (which may be in doubt), removing that bracket makes R/R the trans and shifter an easier job.

If he ever has to service the trans he can just unbolt the crossmember and slide it back. Also it hangs low enough to get to the shifter linkage if necessary.

I just tried the yoke into my M-22. The yoke from the turbo 400 was to big. I will need the 27 spline yoke.

I forgot the xmember is removable on AT cars-told you my memory is questionable!
