Default '74 Seats?

Hey folks. Haven't posted for a while as it's been a busy summer at the new trailer. Weekends at the Lake have won over working on the Vette in 35c weather . Anyway, I decided the body for my '73 was not worth repairing as it was pretty much toast. I found a 1974 in near perfect (body wise) condition so I decided to go that route and put this body on my like new '73 frame and call it a '74. A quick question though... These are the seats that are in the '74. They appear to be vinyl with cloth inserts and from what I've read in the Corvette Restoration book, they didn't come with cloth until '75. Is there a chance these came with the car from the factory or have they been replaced at some point? The '74 is a Air / power window.. model.

Thanks

Yes and No. The seats themselves were probably installed at St. Louis, but they've been reupholstered at some point in the past.

Good luck with the build/rebuild of the "74".
Looking forward to seeing the final result.

This is what I have to work with:

It's going on top of this:

I do have a perfect birdcage from the '73 I'll need to find a new home for though.

Are you sure you can't use the 73 body? It would be worth more when you are done to have some chrome on it.

Those seats have been re-done in non-Vette cloth. Options then were vinyl or leather...
