I think it's phenomenal how many younger folks own/drive/work on C3 Corvettes
THAT WERE MADE BEFORE THEY WERE BORN.Awesome!Jim
WHO says there is no one in the younger generations who do not appreciate times past and history..

I'm 58 and have had a C3 since 1980. Currently have a '69 and a '76. Had the '76 since 1990 and the '69 since 1999. Beautiful '78, would have killed to have a car like that when I was 16.

Mines a 77 auto with a 383.
I'm 42 but I've had mine for many years... 8 or 10 or so...
I'm also the Happy owner of a 98 c5 6 speed.

My first C3, a custom '68 roadster in 1978.
No, it wasn't my first Corvette and no, I'm not telling my age.
I was going for the Motion 2-tone look, complete with L88 hood.

21 here, bought mine right after I turned 20.
Before I bought a C3 I didn't realise how many younger guys were into them. Now since I've seen on the forum that it's not really uncommon, everytime I see a new guy I get a little boost of faith in our generation haha. Your car look great btw, awesome job!

Very nice job!
BTW, was this a 72 in Bryar Blue color when you started?
Thanks
Mike

I'm 46.
My dad bought a new Corvette in 1980. We'd always go to the dealer on weekends and look around... I ended up taking home some brochures for the Corvette and Camaros. I had the centerfold for the 1981 Brochure taped to my door for quite a few years as a kid.
Fast forward about 26 years later, and I had to have one. Spent the better part of a year to find this with a 4-speed. But I ended up finding one 70 miles away! I'll never sell it. Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Best compliment I ever had was when I was walking through a parking lot and heard a dad say to his young son: "Now THAT's what Corvette is supposed to look like."
