Sure I'd buy a 75 with the intention that nothing in the drive line, suspension or braking system would remain orginal. It might get a fenders flarred, nose job and it's tail bobbed and end up with a big block and be the worst 69 L88 clone ever. Convertible would be preferable.

My 75 L48, one owner. I would not pic the 75 L48 to restore etc, it is the slowest/least hp Vette around.
Oh, dont leave it stock, just saying.

Nothing wrong with a 75 l48. Especially in California with a 4 speed! Everybody complains about it being the worst hp year, but when it comes down to it, its the same chassis as previous (better than 68 cause it has that extra rear support). If you like the looks and assuming there's no major issues like the birdcage or diff eating a snapring, go for it. Heads, cam, intake exhaust will do it some good though.

My first Vette was a mint '75 L48. Own it in 1984 when I was 18 years old. From what I can remember - it was not very good performance wise. I would still buy another and swap a 383 stroker into it.

I would. It is still a small block Chevy engine, it is still a Corvette, it is cool, and will still handle well. I don't care for the color, wheels, or the rear bumper treatment of the one in the picture, but I'm not buying that one. Get what you want, and don't worry about what other people think.

My '75 is the first Vette I bought back in '04. Still have it. Still love it.
Any year classic is a good year.

Not crazy about 75 but it is ca smog exempt so if it drove ok..perhaps. Do like the original bumper better but it still looks like a nice driver.
First thing to go would be that anemic motor. Ac. tunes and drive intot the ground
