Less of a barn, its a stuffed garage. Hopefully boxes of old racing pics and awards. Maybe more engine parts.........

This is like the week before christmas.

Guys, this has really gotten out of control. Remember please I only asked about the original color and it has snowballed!

Again I'm not selling the car. I'm not making any wild claims as to what it is. This is a labor of love for a lost friend.

Here are a couple more pics

They best course of action here is to not do anything. I would talk to people like Fred Simeone. He's a preservation guy. Kevin is more of a restoration guy.

Right now this is the leading book on preservation. it deals with Porsches but the information about preservation is generic.

We never want to forget that Dave Boroughs of Bloomington Gold is one of the top preservationist in the world.

SURE!! ... tell me what size you were looking at (we'll see if the net can handle it), and I can resize from here so as not to loose too much image quality. From an image point of view I would look at removing a fair bit of the car park and maybe a bit of sky as the VeTTs are the subject of the image, kool with that??

Would you provide a picture of the trim tag located on the driver's door pillar located above the top hinge? This will provide the code numbers for the interior color, paint color and body build date. Thanks.

The OP first posted a picture of the trim tag, and the dash panel, under his profile. The tag does not appear to match many of the things going on with this car. Regardless, the car is what it is and nothing will change that. I am waiting to see if the big block under the hood is cast iron or aluminum. The way the front end lifts, I would guess it had a ZL-1 crate engine. Very cool.

So....over 62,000 views to this thread in 9 days. Must be some sort of forum record. Does anybody out there remember seeing this car in action? I am more interested in reading about Doyle and what he accomplished with the car. The fact it is still intact in his garage, on the trailer, with the LT-1 beside it, speaks volumes about this real Corvette guy.

Pvirg, I think a lot of people are excited about this is because you're doing what we all wish we could: finding a historic vette in a barn. Sorry about your friend.
