Very cool find! After seeing this pic, it confirms that the odd looking gas pedal is in fact a hydraulic throttle, they used to be popular in dragsters back in the 60's. This is the first one I have seen in a door car

Lol, they just used the pictures. This car has more stories floating around the net than you can shake a stick at. Who knows maybe the true story is better than all the rest.
