Any of the Old Timers still around?

It's funny, I've not looked at these forums in a couple of years and this was the first post I saw.
It's been 10 years (November 13, 2005) since I picked up my baby and joined these forums. I still have the old gal and enjoy driving her around north Texas on the weekends.
The excitement of the car is still there. The joy of reading the forum long gone.

I asked the same question about six months ago. And e-mailed him. But no answer.
That's me on the left with my 1974 and Mike/Deb beside with their yellow 1973. That was five years ago. I have not seen them since.

I've had my '81 for 25 years. Been hanging around here since my first work computer arrived in 2000. I've never had a desire for anything newer until the C7's arrived on the scene and I was bit hard so I spent a lot of time on that forum waiting for mine to be born and going to visit the museum for the first time and driving home a souvenir. My wife said I could not sell the '81.....no argument from me!

15-years... that would be from the Jurassic era in internet time.
Why when this thing got started C5's were all the rage.
Whoever gave birth to the corvetteforum did us a big favor. I have learned a lot and enjoyed the comraderrie too.

Before corvetteforum I was a member of a primitive site called Yankeelady. Literally the most basic site... especially considering the 90's web but sure helped someone like me who had never even changed oil in a car before buying my vette.

Your C2 is bad-assz but the son is always stronger than the father... even with in-animate manufactured objects. But the father makes it look easier and has more class in the process... someday the C5 will get smoked by a C8 and history repeats itself.
