Default Brain Fart

OK, I had 15 minutes to look at the car before heading to work.
Hooked up the manifold gauges, and there was pressure.

I thought about that for a minute, then remembered. Saturday, after charging the A/C, I was looking around and decided to MOVE the compressor wire. I didn't remember too hook it back up.

So, all is GOOD. I need more than an hour at a time in the garage.
That and a better memory.

Have a Great Day,

Bill

Default VA Done

Well, it was a week later than I had hoped. But the Vintage Air is DONE, and the hood is back on.

Console could be in better shape. (maybe someday)

But Hey, It's back together.

Now all I have to do, is revisit the window switches, and the speedometer cable ( damn, I know I hooked that up).

Other than that, I'm extremely Happy with the Vintage Air System.

Have a Great Day,

Bill

Alright, you guys didn't call me out, on the sill plate on backwards.

Who knew the holes would line-up in either direction?

But, it's fixed, along with the windows and speedometer.......

Have a Great Day,

Bill

Default One of Those Days

Well, Last Tuesday, was One of "THOSE" Days.

Weather broke on One of my days off. Head for the garage, and the waiting-to-do List.

New battery in Corvair. Check

New brake light switches in the Buggy. Check

Fix that damn neutral safety switch in the Vette. Check

Move Vette out of garage for a little floor cleaning.

NO BRAKES !!!!!!!!!!

The Parts are in for the Corvair, but I guess the Vette just got Moved to the TOP of the List, AGAIN.

Have a Great Day,

Bill

Default Lesson

Never to Old to Learn, I Guess.

Ordered new Brakes from Corvette Central.

Called last Wednesday, everything was "In Stock"

I did not Phone order, as I was hoping to save the shipping, and just
drive the half hour to pick up. I was informed that "pick-up, added state tax." ( Hmm, $44.00 tax, or $26.00 to ship ?)

So, I opted to ship......Hmm, Brake Disc Package, now out of stock.

Master Cylinder, Cap, and two front wheel bearing seals. "$26.00 Shipping"

Called them back on that. They will credit me $10.74 shipping.

"best shipping" on the above items.......$9.23

Guess I NEED to CALL AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!

Now, just hoping ZIP comes through !!!!!!!!

Hope You All, are having a Better Day,

Bill

Oh, I forgot to Add, that during bleeding the brakes the pin fell out of the brake pedal. NO CLIP !

Now reflecting on No Emergency Brakes, and No brake pedal. Hmm, Glad I Parked it when I did last year !

Still waiting on the parts...................

Have a Great Day,

WOW...but a good WOW. All those delays caused you to park the car which means you probably avoided a nasty accident.

Actually, the Delays are just pissing me OFF !

Maybe I'm not "Hooked-In" enough, to understand Why "In-Stock" is NOT !

Then I get behind the PayPal firewall, sorry I don't want to spend My SAME MONEY twice. So here I set waiting for the Credit.

OK, I vented enough.

Have a Great Day,

Bill
