Default Looking to upgrade factory steering wheel but will this one work?

So I don't like the factory steering wheel on my 75 the advantage is that the column has tilt & telescope and I'd like to keep these features but if I add this deep, suede wrapped with Orange stitching will it still work.

I spoke to the seller and they said it fits a standard 6 hole Momo style adapter. Have any of you had any luck upgrading your wheel to a aftermarket with standard Momo pattern?

thanks in advance

Be careful

When I did my 74, I had to buy a specific one from the manufacturer or it would not work.

Check with them before buying anything.

Ken

PS. I hate the stock steering wheel, it's on the floor in my office, debating whether to sell it or not.

Dave, I need to make my way over to see your progress. Had the car out twice already with the new tires.

Stop it I sold the Camaro a couple of weeks ago! Now I'm getting whiplash from the sounds of V8 exhaust going by.

Have you looked at the different Grant adapters.....buy the adapter that is the corrects size......then scribe the bolt pattern onto the Grant adapter and drill the necessary holes to fit your new wheel.

That's what I had to do on my '68 standard column. The P.O installed an aftermarket wheel, but there was no way to connect the wiring for the horn button. Now everything works correctly.

I sent my stock '74 wheel to Chuck Pelton and he added some padding and covered it in matching leather.

Now that's an option, really like the upgraded stock look, nice.

It will work but you will have to do some modifications to it. I just did mine 2 days ago. The bolt pattern is the same but it starts out different and there is no notches cut out for the horn spacer. I just flipped it over and copied the old holes and redrilled the new holes. Whatever you do don't loose the special screw for the telescope part ask me how I know.

That looks clean if you don't mind me asking how much did they charge you?

I had the wheel done in 2009. The cost at that time was $160.

Or go to http://wheelskins.com/original and do it yourself for $55.
I have them on my 73 Vette, 64 Malibu and my 61 F100. They look just kike the pics of the one done professionally. took about an hour. Took the wheel off the Malibu and the Vette but did the F100 on the truck. Not hard at all.
