I use this plate for shows. I can't use it on the road so why do I have it? The build date of my 1974 is May of that year and it was originally sold in Palm Springs, California. Just a novelty item that I picked up on EBay several years ago.

Sweet car, Hooah! And thanks for including the BEFORE picture to my opening AFTER photo.
Triple Black, that ride is a stunner. All C3's are pretty, with or without something upfront.
Keep 'em comin.

Hi,
Maryland is a 2 plate state.
I had reproduction plates made of the first plates my 71 wore when new and display those.
In Maryland you buy antique tags and then pay $20 extra to display original plates.
Regards,
Alan

Not completely true. You can get "Historical" plates, and then if you can find a year correct plate for your vehicle, you can run with those on. The only thing is that you have to carry the white historical plate in your car in case you are ever pulled over so the cops can make sure it is associated with your car.
Here is what I have ran day in and day out on the streets and never had a problem yet
