Default Show me your hood scoops

Any one have an aftermarket on a factory hood. I have a small block 72 hood and would like to add a scoop. This is to accomplish 3 things. 1. clearance with a new intake. 2. A little custom touch to the car. 3. Actual scoop to get some cooler air in the compartment. I was thinking something like this since the factory hood has the elevated area in the middle of the hood. This one is to wide though.

Add a L88 hood scoop or lt1 scoop maybe even the camaro ss scoop or a trans am style shaker hood. Have you seen punisher vettes custom hood scoop.

LOL that's the "river crossing option".

Here's one that not everyone has...

I love some scoops, the timeless L-88 the 67 bb scoop.

Ecklers sells that 67 BB style with stinger hood for c3's looks really good...

And what do you know it's on sale,

http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1977-1981.html

I found a scoop I just do not recall and would have thought it one off but I seen on on this mid year hood then crawling around CL saw it on a c3 I can't find the #$%& car today to snag the picture,

Here it is on the midyear hood,

Take a close look it has the beautiful 68-72 BB / LT-1 scoop in front with the dips left in, ( I thing it ruins the look to fill the dips ) yet in the rear it looks like a 67 BB scoop and gives a bit of room for the air cleaner,
I rooted around Google last night and saw this scoop on a couple other non vette cars but can not find who built it...very cool would love to find one

I really dig one off stuff, everything posted so far well except the weird scoop I posted are very well known, I like one of a kind and have several designs I'm messing with, damn it, I can only use one scoop at a time,
Okay, take that ss scoop you like then if size allows use it stinger style under the 67 bb scoop....it would have a stock yet custom look, might look really cool....
I recall a mid year that ran around here about 20 years ago, it had a daytona scoop with a second daytona scoop on top of it cut dont a hair smaller, it was really sweet looking.

I would love to see a c3 with a shaker scoop of some sort...

I remember those jc whitney scoops they sold most of them well into the 80's
A friend had that corvette ram injector, it was weird, could be open in the front under that lip thing...

I bet the standard L-88 and the twin turbo are the most seen on c3's

That Baldwin is a bad azz looking hood. If the hood was flat, I would do the mopar style pro ram from JC Whitney. The stock corvette hood with the center elevated area really limits options for a bolt on scoop.

On the motion phase clones like parkers, or real ones for that matter,
I wish they had not filled the stock bb / Lt1 dips...to me it would look so much better if the dips were stock with their inserts in place but that's just me...keep in mind I love wiper doors...

See why I wish I could find that scoop I posted...

The stock raised area does make things tricky, but a 67 scoop would go over that very nicely....

I wish I had better pics, but here's mine. It's the motion style scoop on a smallblock bumper car hood.

Well, not really the "stinger" but yeah sorta

The scoop is not Motion they like ecklers just used it to create their customs hoods, the top scoop part is the 67 427 scoop.

In the case of the Ecklers hood that they do call the "stinger" they also used the "stinger" budge from the 67 hood,

http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1977-1981.html
On sale!!!!

Then we have the legendary Motion performance Phase 3 hood, ( Parker offers a copy )
They took a 68-72 Big block/LT-1 hood, ( sadly to me ) filled the dips in the front then put the 67 427 scoop on top of that and the rest is history...

Postal123 The hood you have you or someone made by putting that 67 427 scoop on a stock hood, and wow it looks great! I like it a lot better than Ecklers 67 stinger.

You mean on Postals car? I think it looks the best of all the ones posted so far, and how cheap and easy to do on a stock hood....
