Default Bethalto airport FlyIn and a few Corvettes

Yesterday was the annual Bethalto Airport FlyIn. Great show with a combination of aircraft and car show. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Thanks for sharing Mako,

the chevy truck brings back a lot of memories,

I learned to drive in a 52 with the straight 6 and side step starter, we converted the column **** to the floor. I hated that thing when we had it but would give anything to have it back now.

looks like a great time at the show,

How are things at the refinery?

Neal,

Seems the '50's Chevy trucks are a favorite, have a friend redoing one right now.
The refinery is in unit T/A mode right now. Drop me an email sometime at work. Fill me in on the latest with your C3.

Great pictures! Love the fabric covered, pre-WWII trainers. I haven't seen an Ercoupe for many years! Great photos, nice shots and I happen to like the Charger, the best out of all of them.

Hey Charles very nice photo's! We have something similar here in DeRidder which is held at the old Army Air base airfield. The airport is still open and has been since being a training base during WWII for the Army Air Corp.

I'll drop you a email either tonight or tomorrow night and catch up with you. Started the plant back up tonight and this old place doesn't like being shutdown so she is being a pain!!

Cars and planes together!!! Doesn't get any better than that. Flew one those ercoupe's once, weird plane, no rudder pedals, steers like a car on the ground with the yoke, and lands sideways in a cross wind. hard to get used to.
