Default Old Family Car 1979

While me and my Grandma were out for a drive she told me she had an old 1979 white Corvette and she asked me if I wanted to take it off her hands. It has been sitting for 15 years with the engine taken apart and put back together but it does not run. Does anyone know anything about the car and how to get it running? I have a wiring diagram and the service manual for it.

First of all the answer is yes lol. No such thing as a free corvette, but starting at zero to obtain is a serious plus.

Your grandmother will know about the car, so take a pad and a pen with you when you go and jot down things.

Next question: what do you know about smallblock Chevrolet engines?

Welcome and congrats on the 79.

I smell a rat...

Maybe it was just the way my family worked, but my grandparents had very few secrets about their possessions with the rest of the family, especially regarding something as big as a car.

My apologies if this is a true story...

Well the car was given to her friend along with $40,000 for him to restore and he took the money bought all new parts, body panels, upgraded stereo, and all new original seats. over the last 15 years he just took it apart and left it.

So how did it get to your grandmother? Before you get too shook up, determine who the owner of record happens to be.

For $40,000 you could buy two mint 79 Corvettes and probably have some change.
