Default Big Feet

I have big wide feet. When driving my C3 my foot hits the brake while on the gas. The gap between the brake and gas is small. Anyone ever cut down the brake pedal? Or am I nuts

Default hitting brake pedal and gas pedal at same time

I don't have that problem with my '69 Stingray but I do hit the gas pedal when I depress the brake pedal on my '06 XLR. Gonna' have to widen the gap on that also.

Holy dead thread Batman!
We just did this a couple days ago... anybody who has done this find, or know of a part number for a stainless pedal pad bezel to fit the smaller pad, or know what vehicle to search for one?

I have the solution but you are not going to like it. " Left foot on the brake and right foot on the gas " . I started driving this way many years ago when I worked for a new car dealership and we had to cram new cars into the showroom with only inches to spare. Much quicker response and been doing it this way ever since. In 51 years of driving , never had an accident. Funny thing too , when driving a stick shift I am not inclined to use my left foot on the brake !

That was my job and my report. When the work was being done I thought of the pedal pads with the SS trim. Unfortunately I could not find any. I was not surprised in that the brake pedal pad is from a GMC truck and people who own those typically do not give a hoot about such bling.

Thanks Paul! I was kind of afraid of that.
