Default Get Your Walls Talking with this 1966 Corvette Patent Poster

I thought I'd outgrown the idea of putting up posters of cars on the wall, but this one of a Corvette patent filed by GM in 1966 has certainly changed my mind.

The patent wall art poster labeled Patent No. 206063 for a “Vehicle Body” being sold online by etsy.com doesn’t actually bear the name of the iconic American car; however, it certainly appears to be a Corvette Mako Shark II.

How cool it is to see that someone has done this!

This patent appears in my new Corvette book, available at this very website at a significant discount.

I was very excited to find this, which shows how directly Bill Mitchell was involved in the creation of the Mako Shark and how important he felt that this design was in his career.

It's the only patent I have found that is attributable to Bill.

I don't get it...When I search the USPTO database for patent #206063 it dates to an 1878 patent for wagon wheel brakes:

http://www.google.com/patents/US206063

Is this real? When I searched the USPTO for patents by Mitchell, William I got nothing related to Corvettes.

Found it. The patent # is preceded by a "D":

Pretty cool but I don't it is cool enough for wall art. But it could be awesome to be part of history book or if you own the corvette the patent is for, to frame it and display it during car shows.

Yeah, but I'm an engineer. We hang stuff like this on our walls.

Looked up the stuff by a guy named Clarence Fender. May print and hang some of those where I work, as I deal with his designs daily...
