Default Seats that are interchangeable for a '76

I am looking for a pair of black seats for my 76 vette. As the title says any year that is compatible for an easy install would be awesome. I am posting this here instead of parts/wanted to pick your brains about what other year seats you have had success in swapping between a range of years like 70 - 79 or whatever. Thx

Mine were just reupholstered and extra padding added for bolsters... No fitment issues ...

Oh yeah I should probably tell you that the seats I have now are some ghetto "racing" seats. So no reupholstering option. I need the whole new seat hahaha.

70-78 are essentially the same; 79-82 except power driver's seat will also fit using your 76 seat tracks.

It's my understanding Fiero seats can be adapted. You can find posts on this site for specifics.

I have Recaros from a BMW 318i, they bolted right in and were a bit wide and touch the center console.

The seat rails in my 70 and my 73 are not interchangeable. I think the distance between the front mount hole and back mount hole is longer in my 73. I'll measure when I get home unless someone can confirm.

I think I'm going to really like my C5 seats with the C3 rails. But then again I needed the slot for the seatbelts to go through.

They weren't "direct" fit but for me very easy.
drill and tap 2 holes into the C5 seat. bolt C3 rails to them.
