Default Different year doors.. Swap possible?

Hi all. One of the doors on my '73 I'm going to try to restore is toast, the front of the panel was bent outwards when the rest of the body was nailed by a tree many years ago. I have two doner passenger side doors, one is from, I believe a 74 or 75 and I have the one from my 79. Both of these doors are in good condition. The only issue is both of the doner doors have power windows. My
73 is manual and will stay manual. Can the innards be swapped out or are the inside areas somewhat different?

The 74-75 will be a much easier swap. All of the doors are very similar. I just finished installing early style hardware on a 78-82 door (is said to not be possible). Only took a little fabrication on a bracket and some linkage tricks. But the 74-5 for your 73 will be smooth sailing.

Is your 73 a coupe or convertible?

69-77 coupe doors are all interchangeable. 78-82 doors fit too, but you'll need to swap out the latch, rods, inside release handle/lock control, from your 73 doors.

If you have a convertible, you'll need 70-75 convertible doors. Convertible doors have the indent for the alignment pins, that's not found on coupe doors.

I would be interested in pictures of converting the 78 and up doors for a 76 and down car. I too have 80 doors an my 76 and really would like to install the correct door panels

The exact two years I am dealing with. I was thinking about doing a write up to post on the forum, but forgot half way through the second door. I can take some pictures and explain it though!

Since the power locks were there, I decided to keep them which made it a bit more difficult. If you don't want them it makes it easier.

my doors are also power locks and windows. I don't care to have the power locks and not using them now. I have the sport mirrors and plan on keep them.
I have been thinking of converting mine to the to the correct hardware but unsure of all the parts needed really hoping to find a set of junk
doors for all the parts needed. a write up would be cool I have not seen any done as of yet.
