Default Valve covers

Need a little help here because I am not a mechanic. Can anyone tell me, will L82 valve covers fit on my L48 350 motor sb? By that I mean will the Four holes on the covers line up with the holes on the block? Trying to find out before I buy them.

Yes - the 4 holes line up with the 4 holes in the head.

I have them on my 76 L-48

Default valve covers

Thanks guys. That's what I thought. Probably a dumb question but had to ask. Learning curve here!

Exactly better safe than sorry, those L82 covers will cost you. Now, the bolts holding the covers down will be different, so make sure you pick up a set of those as well.

No such thing as a dumb question, I'm full of them.

I donated a nice set to the St. Jude auction, they went for $80....
with a free calendar to boot.

Are they tall enough to go over roller rockers?

Cheers

standard roller rockers will not fit, without modifications.
I rememeber when I tossed mine out, because roller rockers would not go under them.
all Small block orgnial 1st generation Chevy blocks use the same valve cover mounting.
