Who has the closest thing to OEM carpet? A buddy paid a fortune for some Chinese junk and is livid. So are you aware of any vendor that has the closest stuff to OEM there is?

Thanks

I would suggest you look at some of the vendors whose names pop up a lot on this forum. If they didn't sell quality stuff, they'd have been hounded out of here a long time ago. And as your friend has learned, just because it's the cheapest, doesn't mean that's the best choice.

ACC (Auto Custom Carpet) or Al Knoch, would be my preference, and in that order too.

This is what I used 3 years ago. I was very careful to make sure I got 1978 oyster vs 1979 oyster, they are different in color. Very nice fit and very good color match. As for long term fading its hard to tell with oyster. The others people have listed where also very well recommended but I did not know about those when I was looking.

I just got some off of Willcox. I am working it into the nooks and crannies, and so far, it is going well. I put the back in and put weights on it, then left out in the 100 degree heat, and those parts formed pretty well. I know I could probably use a heat gun, but it's too hot. Since my car had nothing in it when I got it, I have no patterns.
I think the order is slow and steady to work it in.

Anytime you purchase new carpet its always best if you take it out of the box and lay it out for a day. This will relax any bends put in the carpet during shipment.

Acc carpet can be found on our site at this link. http://willcoxcorvette.com/advanced_...eywords=carpet

Use the current sale code and you'll save some money too.. .
