So I'm putting on a 2 1/2" exhaust kit from Corvette Central, I didn't want to put the U bolts on it so I went and bought 2 1/2" band clamps but it appears that 2 /2" band clamps don't fit 2 1/2" pipes, they are too small. What size should I get? thanks for the advice/help

2" band does not fit 2-1/2" pipe.

What is the inside diameter of the band clamp? The pipes you have probably have a spread joint so one pipe will slip over the other. Not sure if band clamps will work, but a 3 inch is probably the next size up.

I bought these from Autozone, they say 2.5" but they were sure far off from fitting

Those are crap. The good kind are very stiff.
