Default Please help identify year of this Stingray - and other details?

Hi, Going through some old photos, we found a pic of my wife in her Stingray. Can anyone identify the year of the car ? Are there any other details about the car you can determine just from this photo?
Thanks !

'75 - '76

Without seeing pics of the front and back bumpers.....can't be sure.
Front bumperettes are visible.

Hi dd,
It appears the car has an optional luggage rack mounted on the rear deck.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks.

There's one other picture, but it's just of the other side. I'll post that later this evening. Maybe it will help more?

I'll see if the original pic does show a luggage rack.

I havent looked up the specs of a 75-76 car, but is there anything in the photo that eludes to engine size? trans? from this pic? Do the tires/rims hint at anything?

how does this car compare on the "desirable" scale today?

The only engine available on '75-'76 was a 350 cu. in. The wheels are not GM issue.

I would say it is a 1975 based upon the seats.
Color is Bright Blue
Dealer installed Passenger mirror
L48 engine since I see no L82 badge
Tilt steering wheel since the wheel appears to be in the up position.

The above is just an educated guess.

Could be a 74. Is there a reason you cannot ask your wife about her car?

She doesnt know anything about it - other than she bought it while in Texas, drove it, sold it. There's only two photos, one of each side.

It's not a '74, as the photo shows the protruding 'bumperettes' that were added in '75 and later.

Both '75 and '76 had Bright Blue as an available body color, so can't tell from that. To me, the steering wheel apprears to be in the 'neutral' position; so it could be either a stock steering wheel or the T/T unit.

I'm not seeing a luggage rack on the back. That 'jagged' image appears to be the 'pixeled' edge of the left rear fender (photo image issue, I think).

The photo appears to be taken out by old man Sullivan's farm....but I don't see his cow.

Possibly not. I wasn't sure I was seeing bumperettes or shadows.

Where in Tejás was this taken? When did she live there? It might help in the relative dating process.

well, she was there for about two years -'98 & '99 before she moved back to the Philadelphia area. None of that will help with any identification.

I'll try re-scanning this photo, and the photo of the other side for clarity and if any other details emerge.

typical woman. If it was a guy that owned it he'd be able to tell you every detail about it from memory.

Looks like a 75 to me

Looks like the steel blue to me tho.

True dat

I bought a new Chevy truck in 1993, exactly one week later I got married. It's been 21 years and I have never forgotten an anniversary or what year I was married,
