Floor mats for 1971 coupe
Who makes the highest quality and nicest looking custom floor mats for a 71 black interior coupe? The "Lloyd" mats look nice, but appear have a split on the passenger side, which doesn't make any sense for the floor board orientation in a 71. Any thoughts on this issue?

The split might be there to accommodate 4 speed and AT footwells; they're different.

It's the "related threads" option that takes everyone from where they really wanted to be and they end up posting into some completely "not-really related" thread

The split (or dart) in the Lloyd mat is to conform to the shape of the floor. Without it, the mat would buckle at the kick in the floor. This is my 1980.

Those are nice looking, quality mats. I love the cross flags on mats but had a difficult time finding ones that didn't tell me what I already knew- that it's a "Corvette". I knew it, people knew it and it puts me to mind of the motorcycle riders whom advertise "Harley" on all their apparel. Just my opinion, Mark

Please forgive me. But the purpose of said floor mats is what?
To protect the carpet so the next owner can enjoy it without the mats???
Sorta like the Italian grandma that puts slip covers on the sofa?
Me, I enjoy my carpet.
funny that. I replaced the front carpet back in the mid 90's.
No mats, still looks great. and when it doesn't I'll replace the carpet again.
Like I said, please forgive me.
Enjoy your covers.

I ditched floor mats. It was a pain on the driver’s side with the accelerator and I figured it will be unlikely anyone with really dirty shoes will be riding with me. Besides, the carpet has already been replaced. I’ll just do it again if needed.
