Default 1971 F/S Mulsanne Blue

What is a good starting offer on this vette? Any recommendations for online inspectors?

That's a 18-20K car as it sits IMO.

There's a lot to like in either car.

I'll speak to the Vettefinders car: Very appropriate wear inside. Unmolested.

I'd have to say that it is one of the straightest cars I could imagine. The front egg crates are not 'droopy'. And the fit of the headlight covers is perfect. Better than factory...or at least "Tuesday or Wednesday car" type of perfect.

Very pretty. There's those handful of (expensive) things that would keep it from being a NCRS car, but it appears to be a very well and carefully kept driver.

I agree with Mr. Orangebrothers.

The Craigslist car looks nice too. Some positives and negatives...

Regarding the 68 LeMans Blue coupe on Winston-Salem Craiglist, that car has been listed on Ebay about 4-5 times in the last 6 months, if my memory is correct it always had a "Buy it Now" price of 24k, from the pictures it looks like a very nice car, I was always somewhat surprised that it never sold, from a personnal standpoint this coupe was 15 cars behind my 68 Intl. Blue coupe on the assembly line, good luck with your search. Tom

I am leaning towards the vette finders ad. The car in the winston salem ad appears to perfect in the staged photos. Only complaint on the 71 model is the 8 hour drive and after market side pipes and holes in rear bumper.

I have no idea why it looks so odd and impersonal to me to take pictures of the cars in that white room. Makes them look fake.

Great looking car.

But the pictures turn me off for some reason. Totally non-constructive, I know. Apologies.

It is so difficult to say without a hands on inspection. Lots of places foe hidden issues. Having been for sale for a while would make me wonder why.

My concern also. How can a car this great looking and priced this low not sold yet. The current owner has had it less than a year and has little documentation.

Yes, I am actively looking at early model C3s 6-8 hours from central Georgia with a purchase price and transportation costs less than $20K.
