TRAITOR!
Were you in Nam and got "too close" to some explosions.............
did you get soaked in Agent Orange, and it affected you mentally?
I'm not judging.......just stating the obvious/oblivious!
I had the opportunity to buy a (non-convertible/LOL) in 1980 for $2,500....................
the "suicide doors were fantastic"...............
but my darling wiff.....errrr....wife said "NO"!
So Congrats to you and your girl (and your wife too!)

That's part of the reason I love my Vette. It only has one other seat. I call it my escape plan.
ME: "I'm going to the store"
WIFE: "Oh, good, the girl's and I need to go shopping, we'll come with you"
ME: "I'm taking the Vette"
WIFE: "....oh..."

When I see Lincolns of that era, I think of the TV show The FBI.[/QUOTE]
Or the Death Mobile from Animal House!
Enjoy your new 4 seater. Buddy had one way back when, they truly were land yachts. Great ride and comfortable.

Take care Jesse, at least someone gets to enjoy the "Purple People Eater". With all the hard work already done on the suspension and paint, she should be a trouble free purchase. Enjoy the new ride and family time.

My dad bought one of those new when he was in high school. He found the payments were a bit too much for him, so... my grandma had one of those when my dad was in high school.
I think they're cool cars.
