Took my car down to Scott's yesterday, but as usual he was swamped. I replaced the float and accellerator pump seems to be fine now, but I'm thinking that the carburetor needs to be set up properly.

Will do, he'll definitely respond to that . Seriously, I don't think he's either upset or trying to avoid you. When I spoke with him he gave me the impression of being tied up with something, which may explain why he hasn't posted a final count for the upcoming cruise.
